Pillowcase Cookies
Fishermen would bring these cookies onboard with them in pillowcases.
Ingredients:

• 2 1/2 Cups of flour
• 1 Cup of sugar
• 2 1/2 tsp baking powder
• 1 Eggs and 1 yolk
• 1/2 cup of butter, cut up
• 1 tbsp of whole milk
• 1 tsp of vanilla extract

Instructions:

• Mix flour, sugar, and baking powder in a bowl.
• Cut in butter with a pastry knife or blender until you have crumbs
• ln another bowl, whisk egg, yolk, milk, and vanilla.
• Add egg mix to flour mix until almost combined.
• Work dough into a ball with your hands.
• Flatten the dough ball into a disk, cover with plastic, and refrigerate for 1 hour. 
• Heat oven to 350 Fahrenheit.
• Roll dough 1/4 inches thick and cut with your favorite cookie cutters.
• Bake on a cookie sheet until tops are golden, about 12 minutes.
